Orso's

There’s hyper-traditional Chicago-style Italian (gutbuster plates, rich tomato sauces with lots of cheese), there’s old-school, and then there’s Orso’s. Its corner brick building and patio have been Oldtown fixtures since before the Bears were doing the Superbowl Shuffle. Sure, it trots out the romantic stereotypes like many other Italian places in Chicago—ivy and tiny lights on the patio, a live piano player in the very dark dining room—but it's not a cliché if you defined it in the first place.
