A long-time favorite for families and couples, this intimate club of 75 rooms has a very personal touch stemming from its family ownership. Set on the tip of the Southwest coast, and attached to an epic Robert Trent Jones Jr. golf course, Pompano provides everything a fun-seeker could desire, with plenty of sensual views and quiet corners for lovebirds to escape to. With the island's only sandbar, the snorkeling, diving, and swimming are supreme. Video games entertain the kids while you express the love that got them here in the first place. Both the privately-run Serenity Spa and the majestic Ocean Grill literally appear to hover over the sea, the latter set on dramatic cliffs for char-grilled seafood and crisp wines. All suites are open-air, tasteful, and cozy. Worth saving for year after year.
