Papas Tapas/Martinis

business thumbnail

Editorial Review

20 types of tapas, 30 types of martinis = a good time. 20 year-old stunners and 30 year-old pick-up lines = a night to remember. Or forget. That's what martinis are for. Making it easier for Slick Rick is the 'free for ladies' happy hour Mon to Fri, 5-7 pm. Shwing! On the snot-hot block of the Main where it's more important to look good than it is to eat good, this family run business has a different m.o. They're doing it old school, dishing out market fresh Portuguese specialties like grilled fish and seafood. Oh, it's colorful all right: red banquettes, black tables, white chairs, blue-grey walls with burnt yellow beams and kaleidescopic art on the walls that's almost as bright as Slick Rick's shirt.
