After near-fatal brush with bankruptcy, this legendary West Berlin bistro still holds court as the choice salon for iconic artists and cinema stars. Outfitted in classic Parisian style aggrandized by Martin Kippenberger's personal art collection and then immortalized in his paintings, Paris Bar remains beloved by deep-pocketed bohemians, but has relinquished much of its scene to Mitte's hipper pastures. Food is traditional bistro fare, steak frites and such, service is what you expect from a place where Iggy Pop and David Bowie were known to black out, so prepare for entitled pretension and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised.
