Teeny tiny french fry joint with big personality. You can't miss the place: it's smack dab on a busy corner of the Main, painted in screaming primary colours and jam-packed with fat-cat techie-types, local journalists and club kids chowing down elbow-to-elbow at the shoe-box sized counter. Juicy mini-burgers and crisp fries are de rigeur, but the pièce de résistance is the Patatine: a souped-up version of poutine with onions, mushrooms and green peppers. Fresh salads with homemade dressings, Quebec brew on tap, and omelets flipped by a grinning chef (note again: Quebec brew on tap). A run-of the-mill greasy spoon this is not.
