Aficionados claim that this second location of the Brooklyn institution is missing something: the old ovens that give the steak a little something extra (years of grime?). But this claim may be a bit like those who say the Rolling Stones sound better on vinyl—surely true, but when the meat's this good is it worth arguing about? It might also lack the old-world charm and gruff staff of the original, but it is easier to get a table here and you're closer to the beach.
