Bad coffee house art kills kittens. So thank god for Porchlight Coffee, where the art is more than tolerable, service is never surly and there's plenty of space to stretch out and socialize. Do you like to flirt with your barista? Zach Bolotin, the 22 year old owner of Porchlight, is adorable and approachable. The space is minimalist and airy, and there's even a kitten named Goose who makes appearances from time to time. This is the kind of neighborhoody, arty, effortlessly hip coffee shop upper Capitol Hill has been begging for. Check it out.
