Respected restaurateur Kenneth Himmel has made his play at conquering the Back Bay foodie scene in the form of this two-floor behemoth. Three fireplaces, two open kitchens, soaring ceilings, and sweeping views of some nearby landmarks make this more than just your ho-hum dining experience. A wrought-iron staircase links buzzing first floor with the more dining-oriented top floor, where a sprawling exposed kitchen livens things up. The lengthy menu is not for the indecisive. Spiced up comfort food like fried haddock po' boys, grilled calf liver, and homemade ravioli make this a delight for newbies and vets.
