Prohibited

Editorial Review

This faux speakeasy is actually part of the restaurant and bar complex Symphony 8, but this is the room you want to be in. The clandestine cocktail lounge thing is nothing new, but Prohibited takes the concept to the next level. Entrance is hidden behind a bookcase upstairs, and drinkers need a password (available on its Facebook page) to gain entry. Downstairs they have a set of bar etiquette rules you're expected to follow, most of which amount to "don't be a dick." Easier said than done. In theory, a classy new addition to bar scene. We'll see if it survives the student masses with its etiquette intact.
