As much as the O.C. kids like to make the trip up to L.A., sometimes that just isn't possible. Proof is a pretty good stand-in. Of course, it'll never be as organically hip as L.A., but it's got all the right elements. Leather, naked-people art, geometric lighting, a hot dog cart outside, and at the moment, people with weird hair. Small dance floor with everyone packed in close. Young people and their libidos.
