Roscoe Village: the domain of the high-roller stroller set. Que Rico: their unofficial headquarters. While longer-lived area outposts have mostly escaped colonization (Victory's Banner: too cultish/weird; El Tinajon: too ethnic/Central American), Que Rico is new enough, friendly enough, and, gosh darn it, neutral enough to pass the smell test with the mommies who lunch. Though the food is ostensibly Mexican, the vibe is tighty whitie. Even the restaurant's name sounds like a bon mot from a cruise line pamphlet. The food lacks the distinction you might associate with, say, a 4AM burrito, but standards need not be high when mama needs an excuse for a second margarita.
