Editorial Review

One of several optimistic SOMA openings with smart, simple concept and high-quality food, most sourced from within a 100-mile radius. Formerly Julie's Supper Club (which enjoyed an outsized rep but was actually pretty dismal). Hopefully they've dispelled bad spirits with straightforward renovation emphasizing existing elements of wood and steel. Overall, a warm, welcoming environ -- sunny during the day, cozy at night. Full-service restaurant and adjacent take-out café serves sandwiches, salads and soups and Ritual coffee. We like the pressed chicken sandwich and pressed PB&J. Small but neat back patio: grab that table, weather allowing.
