Unicorns, gargoyles, and a nightly parade of Fellini characters at this phantasmagorical superclub, opened in 2007. Russian for "paradise" or "heaven", Rai feels like one of Baz Luhrmann's exaggerated fantasies, a carnival of pure fetish. Located at the headquarters of the communist-era Red October Chocolate Factory. Three rooms include the main dancefloor (the actual Rai), the Heaven bar, and music hall Elysium. Unless you are the son or daughter of a wealthy Russian magnate, good luck making it inside.
