Editorial Review

High-ceilinged, saloon-styled spot with fading streams of sunlight, Cheer’s-like center bar, and lazy fans circling dreamily overhead. A bastion for bitter locals along the sadly yuppified stretch of Polk Street. Gorilla Sports sends young, healthy set over for post-workout mimosas. 85-year-old Mareva balances it out. Standard California bistro, special touches like pineapple-infused vodka and wide range of tequilas. Worst margarita ever, but brunch the way it oughta be. Viva la Rex.
