Rick Owens' layered style evokes the kind of fashion-intellectualism you wouldn't assume originated in Los Angeles. Self-proclaimed inventor of "glunge"—glam grunge—finally exported his L.A. style to downtown Manhattan. Deconstructed pieces are oversized and flattering, and, funnily enough, totally fit for all types of fashion mavens (moms and grandpas included). That said, beware of the know-it-alls who live and die by him. Though Owens comes off as a nice enough guy, he sure has a knack for making fans out of grumpy people.
