Epic hotel has been upping the ante in Miami nightlife, and this is the clincher. A stunning high ceilinged, atrium-type space with 30-foot bay windows overlooking the river and Brickell's beautiful towers, deep espresso wooden floors, huge neutral-hued columns, and loungey sets of small tables and chairs on the first floor, with zebra-print carpeting and modern leather couches in the upstairs loft space. Patio seating is also an option. The drink menu is awesome: modern, fruity twists on classics like the Manhattan, as well as inventive stuff. During this opening phase, the upstairs resto (Area 31) is providing a delicious celebratory bar menu. Don't miss out.
