Wrigleyville staple The Central dropped the name, removed their ugly subway tiles, nixed the sparkly red banquettes, and reinvented with a few red lightbulbs and wall treatments. Decor's sadly the only improvement. Same bartenders ignoring you behind the bar, same assholes post-Cubs bleachers ejections screaming at the ceiling, same skanks reapplying eyeliner in the mirror.Don't look for cocktail or martini list: you won't find it. Stick with the PBR, order the Wisconsin Merkst Burger, and root, root root for the home team.
