From the promise to regenerate the King's Cross area has sprung the latest concept hotel: 'A little bit of luxury in a rough part of London. A little bit of rough in a luxurious London.' Rough Luxe is what it says on the advert, centrally located, delightfully schizophrenic little hotel. A grade II listed townhouse where peeling paintwork and bare floorboards co-exist with superb prints and salvaged driftwood furniture. Not just stylistic success, this uber comfortable whacky little hotel will enchant you with nine sumptuous bedrooms (some en-suite) and 1983 TV sets. Be sure to meet Spud, famous hound belonging to Leo the manager. Prices are also very funky.
