Hopping restaurant with lively Latin bands, singers, wandering salsa/merengue instructors, a huge bar and dance floor. As the crowd thickens, the staff hardens, so don't be surprised when the menacing door guy acts you like you just asked him for spare change instead of a table. Decidedly un-Mexican fare can tend towards the simple and bland; try the mofongo, a seafood concoction served on plantains.
