Rye

Editorial Review

Owner and chef Cal Elliott certainly knows his way around the kitchen, having cooked at Williamsburg dining meccas Dumont and Dressler. Tucked behind an unmarked door, Rye is all cool speakeasy atmo, complete with traditional spirits and crafty cocktails. Serves up comfort food like meatloaf sandwiches and mac ‘n' cheese, but with way more refinement than mom puts on. Duck and artichoke fricassee sure to please. Fresh, warm donuts and steamed lemon cake guarantees of gastronomic bliss.
