A standout among a crowded Castro Street Indian food scene, from chef Sachin Chopra who's put in quality work at both Mantra and Amber India, now seeks to shine on his own. Super cool presentation, especially the watermelon and heirloom tomato salad, drizzled with spicy tarragon oil and the tandoori chicken stuffed ding-dong style with minced lamb on a little pyramid of rice. Other eye-popping and assertively spiced dishes include Tandoori Cornish hen and Fried Soft-shell Crab Vindaloo. Friday nights find it crawling with tech company directors and PMs.
