Located in a 1904 Craftsman house near the grand Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill, most rooms here won't remind you of grandma's house—think elegant furniture with clean lines and the occasional floral bedspread. The basement room comes complete with a whirlpool, wet bar and fireplace. A meatless breakfast is served every morning along with a complimentary copy of the New York Times. Owners are more than willing to sit and share their travel ideas with you—there are no TVs here so you'll need all the entertainment you can get. There's also a great sunporch with comfortable wicker furniture in the off chance that you're here during the five sunny minutes Seattle experiences each year.
