Hip lounge in historic Stalinist palazzo with red and white leather beds separated by swaths of translucent curtains, reminiscent of naughty nurses' office complete with Swiss red crosses. Gay-friendly by punk neighborhood standards with live DJ sets, four nights a week devoted to electro, techno and dance classics. Rotating art exhibitions, free wireless and retro Soviet-style apartments for short-term stays, where groups of up to 6 can bunk cheaply. Like, um, funky communists. Named in ironic nod to chronic illness, Sanatorium23 aids weary club kids in their futile attempts to recover from weekend benders via vodka-infused convalescence.
