Savory

Editorial Review

The setting is everything you'd expect: airy, comfortable, flowers arranged just so. It's Malibu, where perfection seems effortless. Paul Shoemaker has a great reputation, and here he's got an arsenal of simple, but spot-on dishes. A lot of seafood, unsurprisingly - just don't expect it to be local, Santa Monica Bay isn't exactly teeming - like halibut with bacon and spinach and crab cakes with Brentwood corn.
