Scoop Beach

Editorial Review

Just a few storefronts down from another Scoop (though that one, Scoop du Jour, sells ice cream, not spangly tops and tanks). This summering Scoop covers all the usual one-stop bases in Stefani Greenfield and Uzi Ben-Abraham's formula. Though here the rows of candy-colored clothes are selected with an eye toward the beachy, you'll find the Citizens of Humanity, Theory and Juicy you'd see in the Meatpacking District store, just with more bikinis, wraps, shorts, sunglasses and expertly-distressed T-shirts thrown in. And the footwear tends more toward Chuck Taylor (with a wall full of nearly every John Varavatos Converse kick) than Jimmy Choo. But the all the bright lighting, slick surfaces and loud music are accounted for.
