BlackBook Lowdown
Screaming Mimi's, the legendary vintage outpost on Lafayette, has headed all the way to Montauk for a second summer and set up a seasonal outpost in (what else) a vintage beach cottage. The shop sells all the best and arguably worst looks from the four four decades as well as some "futuristic" designs like high-waisted reversible neoprene skirts (maybe you'll want to leave the future in the past). The overall vibe though is consistent with the season: RVCA T-shirts, custom beach towels designed by Mimi's own illustrator, Fawn Gehweiler (most well-known for those creepy doe-eyed pixies they seem so fond of), and summer appropriate accessories like '70s sunglasses and rubber flip-flops and even surfboards from cult brand
Mollusk.
