Although Ibizans of all ages spontaneously join in the dance no matter what they're wearing heels or running shoes, the island's traditional shoe for both men and women is the Espadrille or Espardenya. This flat shoe with a coiled rope sole and canvas top is worn all over the islands is casual enough to wear on the beach and comfortable enough for city walking. The lovely Pilar has typical Espardenyas from Ibiza, plus a line of imaginative variations of the basic rope-soled item.
