Shagwong Tavern

Editorial Review

Cozy and friendly Montauk institution. Keeps the locals full of fried fish and beer year-round. One of the few places that can lay claim to being packed to the gills (or even open, for that matter) all four seasons. Forget seasonal menus here. Nothing, including the decor (utilitarian wood tables and brick-a-back walls) ever changes -- unless someone catches a fish big enough to tack up.
