Tucked away behind Jerry's Deli on Beverly, this rustic and lovely restaurant is where patrons dine al fresco under an open sky. With seating for only 50, there is much more room to focus on the food. Get comfortable in your leather booth, take a breath of balmy night air, and dig into avant garde plates like onion funnel cake with fondue or the goat cheese gnocchi with berry-based liquor. But the real reason to visit Sherbourne is for the "spud mixologist" who wheels his mashed potato cart up to each table at the start of the meal so that you can choose between whipped potato offerings with toppings like bacon, fried sage or truffle oil. So brilliant it's hard to believe it hasn't been done before.
