Rockabilly faded out everywhere else a decade ago. Not so in Denver, where Bettie Page bangs and high-rise pants abound. Painfully retroactive, the Skylark Lounge aims to please this dated demographic with live rockabilly and swing, vintage pool tables, and bartenders who love the regulars. Though the Skylark remains popular among the tattooed and pomaded set, the slow onset of dogs, mortgages, and babies could just render this trend-follower ancient history.
