Slopes by Talisker

Editorial Review

Hang a left in Waldorf Astoria Park City's lobby, just past the family of European skiers warming up by the fire, and you'll enter Talisker Restaurant Collection's latest gem: Slopes. Here you'll grab a cocktail at the bar, nod at the row of antlers in the lounge, and then head back towards the white table cloths to be treated by a kitchen led by Chef John Murcko, Salt Lake Magazine's Best Chef in Utah of 2011. The menu of healthy and hearty dishes focuses on locally sourced, seasonal ingredients -- we suggest the Pistachio Venison with elderberries, or the Arctic Char over artichoke mash -- and the wine selection by Sean Marron ensures every dish is paired to perfection. All that's missing is a ski-up window.
