Despite numerous remodelings, the downstairs bar connected to Metro will always be too hot and too loud. Tending to the deejay booth are Chicago club regulars, guest band deejays like Ladytron and DFA 1979 and occasional aging pop stars like Andy Bell, Lady Miss Kier and Boy George. Surly, drunk bartenders who kick people out for being over-served work at the main bar, and the dance floor is always a circular sweat lodge.
