If you characterize someone as dependable you usually mean a bit borring. Not the case at Sotto Sotto. If the name is any indication, the risotto is always perfect (dependable), as is the squash tortellini with brown butter and sage and the general ambiance. Impressive in all actuality. So next time your characterize your plain Jane co-worker as 'dependable' remember that the word has been redefined to include 'stand-out' as her list of qualities.
