Shwank new Essex House destination restaurant across from Central Park. Chichi Tony Chi design. Chrome and leather chairs suggest a Rockford Files office suite, although mirror-tiled back walls seem more like The Matrix right before the code starts to stream. Greenmarket-driven menu puts focus on ingredients, in creative combinations. Roasted lobster and kimchi, butternut squash flan, koala-friendly hamachi with eucalyptus oil. Cover the tab with a wad of petrol-fuelled dirhams. Hey, isn't that Condi, straight off another shoe-buying binge?
