Renaissance hotels are not necessarily known in the U.S. for luxury. This one, right in the middle of the Hollywood madness (tourists by day, drunkards by night), is heading in the upscale direction. The movement is led by the spa, a gorgeous space, all white and minimalist. There aren't many extras, but there is a wide range of services. The pool is yours for the using: weekdays are calm, weekends more of a free for all.
