Drenched in awards and a coveted four-star rating, Spiaggia plies diners with Chicago's best jacket-required Italian, with elegant meat and seafood dishes that place as much gravity on mouthfeel and presentation as they do on taste. Besides the palpitation-precipitating prices, it's also known for its similarly heart-stopping views of the lake. Unless you've got $200 to drop, head for its more casual café with a similar menu for much less bread.
