Spiral Diner

Whoops of celebration were heard when this this funky little Oak Cliff cafe opened; it is swarmed by locals and offers up super fresh, vegan and often-organic fare. The crowd is all over the place and fun to watch: see tattooed ladies eat a hot hummus wrap while a street performer noshes on red coconut curry noodles. The food is universally yummy. Service is the one sticking point. Long absences might leave you steamed, but good things come to those who wait, like a dairy-free hot cookie sundae. No, really. It’s good. We promise.
