Editorial Review

Back in business after half-decade hiatus. Easy to get lost: enter unmarked doors at Mercer Hotel side door, take freight elevator down, open and close two sets of doors, venture through chilled wine cellar hallway, open another door ... and there you are. You do have a reservation, right? Exclusive booze pit hidden beneath Mercer Kitchen. Three low, little, brick-clad rooms. Red banquettes with matching stripper pole, lovely for shrooming socialites. Drinks don't come cheap, but then generally neither does sidling up to supermodels and their dads—er, boyfriends.
