Beloved for outrageous, explosively-flavorful, original sushi creations utilizing the flavors of Japan, SE Asia, Hawaii and California. You’ll find yourself actively competing with your tablemates for bites of torched butterfish, wrapped with avocado and snow crab, drizzled in spicy, garlicky, mango-y sauces. Always packed, always loud. Big-ups to owner Dave, doing it real big!

Favorite Restauant!

Sushi Bistro is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco, and possibly in life. I didn't eat sushi before I first came here because I didn't think I liked fish. However, their fish is so fresh and so amazing that it is my gold standard for raw delights - and few other places come close! Service is excellent, cuisine is inventive and well thought out, and parking is so worth the head ache. The Poke salad is a must-order starter.

I've eaten sushi my entire life and all over the world, including Japan where I lived for two years. Simply put, Sushi Bistro is the best I have ever had - bar none. They mix traditional with innovative like no other place I have ever been to ... you literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu ... Great service and atmosphere ... they do it right.
