Tashan

Editorial Review

Tiffin's Munish Narula's rendition of an upscale Indian restaurant, styled by swanky architect/designer Winka Dubbeldam. Peep into compact open kitchen and spot serious cookery command: tag-team chefs Sylva Senat and Sanjay Shende mastering three tandoors and a gamut of grills. 130-seater is fashioned in a collection of faces in just one grand dining room, with a custom-designed communal table, a private party space equipped with storage for 3,000 wine bottles, a curtain-lined lounge, butcher block tables and sleek booths, and even, handpicked art imported from India. Strictly a small-plate menu, with show-stoppers like braised baby rock octopus, house-made chicken vindaloo sausages, and saffron-pistachio Indian ice cream.
