Editorial Review

Small, counter-service café for coffee dates, friendly lunches, after-school snacks. Chalkboard menu lists meat and veggie sandwiches, salads. Pressed panini made with Sullivan Street Bakery's pizza bianco are perfectly tasty, especially salami and goat cheese combo. Homemade quiche and soups for chilly days. Serious spread of baked goods (cupcakes, cookies, pies, and tarts), all from local bakeries. Wine and beer helps turn lunch spot into lingering hang. No computer policy encourages loiterers to swap Macbooks for paperbacks. On the downside, stiff staff might explain the shallow tip jar.
