Dallas » Bar » Downtown » Restaurant Bar
Hailed by many locals as the top bartender in the city, Eddie "Lucky" Campbell has opened this beautiful restaurant bar right in the middle of Downtown - and it's just what Main Street needed. There's no other low-key cocktail lounge/restaurant in the area and that's been sorely missing. Campbell's tag is that The Chesterfield is the "return to the golden age of cocktails where the craftsmanship is outstanding, the preparation is meticulous and the presentation exquisite". His cocktails are carefully crafted but he's also quick to add that he won't balk at a vodka/soda order, either. Well-dressed men and women in classy, classic attire serve the food and drinks in this 50-seater speakeasy that harkens back to the Prohibition era. Flatbreads and short ribs are the highlights on the menu and the servers are knowledegable enough to recommend a perfect drink to go with the food. The crowd is diverse, but seems to attract local businesspeople and artist types. Warm and inviting is the overall feel here, so if specialty cocktails are your thing, you now have to look no further than Downtown.
