The Coast

Editorial Review

Two local couples are the force behind the new-this-season restaurant. The dark blue walls and antique oak bar add a cooling influence on the space, which can fill quickly with folk all trying to sample Chef Tony Berkhofer’s local seafood, sushi and sashimi centric dishes. With connections to Montauk’s commercial fishing industry, both Berkhofer and sous-chef Dustin Schick know how to make fish appealing, even to people who spend their day’s waist-deep in the sea’s bounty. Must-haves include the Squid Jig salad, pan-roasted fluke, and the Yuengling-braised short rib. Open for Sunday brunch.
