A serious pre-and-post-Milennial hotspot, The Collection once drew the likes of Sting and Madonna. But all good things need renewal. And thusly, they’ve retained the name but just flung open the doors to a spectacularly done up new interior by Shoreditch House and Barbecoa designer Tom Dixon. In the grandiose, loft-like space, his signature metallic lighting dazzles against the exposed brick and swish velvet banquettes. Chef Alex Manzola dishes up Middle Eastern inflected Mediterranean yummies including tartare of buffalo and barbecue grouper. But it’s the Pommery Champagne Bar up on the mezzanine that will likely be teeming with glittery Londoners. True to its name, The Collection will host a series of designer pop-ups.
