From owners of down-the-block Weird Fish, café-slash-wine bar is an aggressive gentrification statement sitting in stark contrast to the surrounding check cashing spots, MS-13 gang tags and actual MS-13 gang members outside. Weeknights find it clogged with start-uppers in designer eyewear, supping on refined small plates, cheese plates and erudite wine selection, commenting on the post-industrial meets 19th century parlor room aesthetic. Seems sinisterly designed to appeal to the Yelp crowd… We love the double espresso.
