Old school Montauk in its purest form. Formerly Fitzgerald's, now seen over by proprietor George Watson, Harbor-side fish shack does what you'd think it would: saloon-style drinking with shellfish, baked, fried, in any form that goes well with drinking. Quintessential experience, but make sure to get the location right: best directions are given by the website, but talking to a wayward local might get you somewhere as well. Just don't give off Manhattanite vibes; they wouldn't want to give away their favorite spot to a fly-by-night. Can you blame them?
