The Double Deuce Saloon

Editorial Review

Thanks to its white hot pedirgree--co-owner Dave Mitton is also the man behind Czehoski and Harbord Room--The Double Deuce Saloon opened with loads of hype. With a prime location sandwiched in between dueling hotels The Drake and The Gladstone, The Deuce has been jam-packed since day 1, thanks to a no frills menu that includes chunky chili and a slow-cooked brisket sandwich that rivals any in the city. Beer selection ranges from the fixed income-friendly PBR to the fancier Blanche de Chambly, perfect for the design-types who flock to see Bradley Denton's warm-but-chic space that includes loads of washed-out reclaimed wood and a giant burnt-out neon sign that reads 'Cocktail BAR', easily one of the best new additions to the city.
