Sure, all the kids whose idea of catching waves consists nearly entirely of Johnny Utah in "Point Break" and one Kelly Slater video are flocking to the Surf Lodge, but this is the real deal. The low-lying structure of the East deck dates back to the early '50s (and parts were actually trucked from the north shore of Montauk after a storm wiped out most of the original location). Literally steps away from Ditch Plains' famed jetty break, it doesn't need to offer much in the way of amenities (and it doesn't) because, well, if you came to Montauk to surf "steps away from the Ditch Plans' break" should pretty much do it for you. There are also showers.
