If it wasn't for all the suited-up drones in the front-room bar waiting for their 6:41 Metra trains, this would probably be one of our favorite new restaurants. The Gage still gets mega points for its sharp design and primo location across the street from Millennium Park. Dark wood accents and floors keep it understated, while the rich leather booths add that opulence needed to justify the prices. Of note is the signature roast saddle of elk that's so tender that it cuts like butter.
