The General Greene

Editorial Review

Nabe spot working classic Brooklyn-modern angle. Weathered-wood storefront leads to trim digs, nicely lit with overhead lamps and exposed bulbs. Provisions sold in back. Involved house cocktails, domestic craft beers served in mason jars. Ice cream cart outside keeps things creative with Philly-style licks. Slight Southern bias in the kitchen, which dispenses comfort items like chicken liver and andouille sausage dirty rice, deviled eggs, candied bacon. Too bad the consistency just isn't there, nor in the service.
